Mossberg 500 vs Mossberg 535 - what's the diff?

I was just flipping through the SIR and Wholesale Sports catalogues last night and noticed the Mossberg 500 shotguns and 535 shotguns were in the same price range.

So why would a person choose one over the other?

535 has a longer action and chamber.

535 can handle 3.5" shells
500 can handle 3" shells

Personally I only go up to 3" shells with the shorter stroke.
