Mossberg 500 with clect choke system

It is an adjustable choke system modelled after the Poly Choke system. It makes your gun very versatile. Way easier to adjust than spinning in and out regular chokes. I would value a model 500 higher with a C lect choke system. Most won't as they object to the appearance of the device. Do not set it any tighter than Modified with steel shot. They were a common offering by Mossberg in the '60's and early '70's.

They are versatile but quite unsightly. There is no extra value in a plain barrel gun with an adjustable choke. The good thing is any Mossberg 500 barrel will fit that old gun and with a barrel swap its worth what every other wood stocked 500 is worth.

Most people want rifle sighted smooth or rifled barrels or vent rib 26-28 with removable chokes.

Overall it's a fairly clean shotgun had to tighten the butt stock screw but really can't complain for $180 and it came with a trigger lock and a soft case. I might try and find a rifled barrel and keep it as a rifled shotgun. Now to find a cheap barrel
