How's it going everyone.
I want to replace the mag follower on a Mossberg 535 This shotgun has a camo finish on it . I cannot budge the mag tube by hand as I believe it is loctited to the receiver. I know that applying heat will break the bond but because of the camo finish I am reluctant to do this. I thought of using a strap wrench on it but again it might damage the finish. Has anyone here tried to remove the mag tube on a camo finish gun using these either of these two methods

Try putting the strap wrench on it at a spot where the fore end will cover it. I tried a strap wrench on one of my model 500's though and got nowhere. Heat may be the only way, but someone else may have another idea.

Wd40 can break down locktite if it can penetrate it. A heat gun will also work. The camo finish is designed so that it can take barrel hest in hot temps. Barrels get hot and the finish doesnt peel
