Mossberg 535

They are very inexpensive, they are full camo, the rifled barrel is a full 24 inches with a 1:28 ROT, and the vent rib barrel is 28" and comes with three choke tubes.
The trigger is the absolute worst trigger I have ever used... even for a shotgun this trigger might as well be a pair of vice grips... everyone that picks this piece of crap up tries the trigger then looks to see if the safety is still on ... then tries the trigger again! The barrel to reciever fit is horrendous and the tiny locking nut for barrel is very difficult to tighten and loosen. I don't expect that the accuracy on the rifled barrel would be very good with the barrel and trigger issues. JBRO.

I own a 535 combo and don't have a problem with the trigger personally.. Love how it points and generally handles over the 870, I can hit most of what I shoot at with this budget shotgun. BUT...
What BIGREDD says about barrel/reciever fit is right on, poor quality inspection or cost savings to bring this bargain price.

For me- I don't use a shotgun much until the fall, and then simply put, I use it to kill game.
Does not have to be pretty, or the best quality but this Mossberg does way outperform my old (bought new) Rem 870 supermag POS.

Also look at Stoeger pump.. Heard great reviews.

I was thinking about getting one of those 535 combos too....I want to use it as an anti bear shotgun. But if the fitting is that bad maybe I'll just try a persuader. would the persuader with some good nasty slugs be better? Anyone have experience with the persuader?

I don't know about 1shots Mossy but I tried the trigger on six new Combos on Friday... they were all about 9 pounds and creepy as a horror show!
They advertise 1:28 on the new rifled barrels... for all the good it will do.
