I have a new Mossberg 590 Persuader 20", not the A1 version. I saw a video that there is a bayonet for this gun. Since this one has the bayonet lug, I would like to get one. You know, for ..."accuracy".....yeah....that's why.

Any ideas who has one for sale in Canada?

Here's the gun and the bayo lug.

These 590's are pretty nice shotguns... post pics with the bayo if you find one.

One small thing , You'll have to get a QD stud for your front sling, it fits in the hole on the back of bayonet lug , you can get them from Brownell for about $5 U.S. , look under schematics - Mossberg - 590 , to find the part.

And while we're on the subject of Bayonets , somebody needs to make an aftermarket mag cap with a bit of an extension so we can use an Ontario Knife Company Marine Bayonet [ It has a longer handle ] , That thing is a freaking sword .

ETA; you might be able to just use the sling stud on your mag cap if it fits in the bayonet lug hole .

Thanks for the tip. I just ordered that one that goes in the bayo lug. Those schematics are nice! I found the part number and confirmed that it was the correct one in the picture. Gotta love Brownells!

I bought a China special M7 off Amazon.ca to fill the void until I buy a proper M9..had to slightly widen the loop to fit...but it was only $16 shipped.

DONT GET THE M9 BAYONET!!!
It just falls off when you shoot it.

I saw it happen on youtube and thought it was a fluke... until I shot mine.

Now I'm in the market for the M7. I just hate paying 2015 prices for an item I sold in 1990 for half a peanut.

Are you sure the M7 won't fall off also?

Here's my M7 that I got from Martin at Corwin Arms. Made in The UAE.
It's REALLY hard to put on and take off.

Here's the "My Bayonet flies off my 590" thread:

So far I've taken my 590 out for a run about 4 times testing out the bayonet attachment with various bayonets.

I am firing 2 3/4 shells out of it, and I'd say "most of the time" the Bayonet ends up coming off during firing. Usually on the first shot.

Just wondering if anyone else is having the same issue. Kinda bothers me a bit that it is not reliable enough to stay attached during firing. Is it normal for the amount of recoil from a 12 gauge to allow the bayonet retention arms to let go?

I might add, all of them fit differently to the attachment. Some really tight, some super loose.

Bayonets used for test.

M9 Factory issue Mossburg (Cheap)
M9 Buck (Expensive)
M7 (Old Issued type)
Bayonet 2000 (Same as issued)
