Mossberg 590 Nightstick

I already explained why I said something, to educate those that may be unaware, at the time I also thought it made it prohibited. I’ve admitted my error and learned something myself. Is that not the main point of the forum? To share our knowledge?

Who’s trying to police who here? If you don’t care for my comments you’re free to ignore them.
That somehow absolves you?

You were trying to educate people on something you were ignorant about.

You should think hard about that.

Whatever man, I’m not looking for any absolution. I’ve admitted my mistake, and owned up to it. I’m not sure what else you’re looking for. At the end of the day it changes the classification, something not everyone is aware of.

You want to keep focusing on my mistake that’s your prerogative.

Here is a good example .... a 12ga Tac-14 that I changed the furniture to wood. However, that wood birds head grip was a bit shorter than the original polymer one .... and the total overall length came in at just a couple of millimeters under 660mm and which would have made that gun "restricted". So, I added a GG&G adapter and so that overall total length is over 660mm .... and so that this gun is "non-restricted" ... and to be on the safe side.

So, what Leg is talking about is a real concern for some of us who modify those birds head shotguns ....

And those birds head grip shotguns are not toys .... they need a bit more practice and the proper technique .... and with low recoil ammo they are a very viable option for shorter range engagements .... Actually, I can shoot that gun much faster at shorter distances than any of my stocked shotguns!!!

For all who say you can't hit anything with those guns .... well have a look at those targets ... circle is 9" in diameter .... a small pie plate .... 50 meters ...

One problem that all the 14" Mossberg's share ... is that the front bead is way too low ..... all those guns shoot way too high.
Brobee223 explains the solution 3 min in to this video ...

I also HAD to put a large DT bead on my 14" Mossberg. I've just purchased a 14" Dlask barrel for one of my 870 Wingmasters and it's got a small silver bead, does anyone know if I'm going to need a larger bead on it, or will it be gtg? I haven't had the time to take it out yet.

I'm also pleasantly surprised with the effectiveness of that 8 pellet, low recoil buckshot. I'm going to have to find some of that.
