Mossberg 590 Persuader 14" 12ga

The model shown is a cylinder bore. The shipment 4 years ago came with a heavy walled barrel and the option of a fixed modified choke barrel.

Those ones were definitely 590A1 models. I actually still have an unfired modified choke one from that batch that is still in its box sitting in the safe. :)

It looks like the receiver has the glossy anodize, usually seen on the Mossberg 500 or Maverick 88. Is this correct?

Also, can I confirm the barrel is the thinner variant? (i.e. not the thick-walled 590A1 version)

Thanks.

So I bought one of these guns, and this is what I've found:

- Barrel is heavy wall (590A1 type)
- Safety and trigger guard are polymer (normal for 590)
- Bead sight is matte blued steel, not brass
- No front sling stud and washer included

Parkerized steel parts:
- Barrel (inside and out)
- Magazine tube
- Magazine cap

Blued steel parts:
- Bolt
- Shell lifter
- Magazine follower

The receiver is a matte black meant to mimic Mossberg's matte bluing, so it looks kinda mismatched since the barrel and magazine are parkerized.

The box has a label with the model number 59014 stuck over the top of the original label that bears the model number 50643 (9 shot heat shield), so it appears these are factory 50643 models retrofitted with 14" barrel kits.. Basically it's a 590 receiver with 590A1 parts forward of the receiver (except for the follower, which is usually parkerized in a 590A1).

It's not a bad deal considering the 50643 in original configuration sells for about the same price, plus it's almost impossible to obtain a new factory 14" model due to U.S. export restrictions.
