Mossberg 590 recoil pad size?

I've snagged a Mossberg 590 ( not the A1 ) and it's stock has no recoil pad. I was figuring to snag a replacement from S.I.R, but I'm not sure what size would do the trick. Can someone give me a size please.

The 590's pad is held on with a pair of screws, so a factory replacement might be your best option. If you prefer to get a softer pad like a Decelerator or a Limb Saver, it might be better to have them gunsmith installed as there will be some fitting involved.

Change your stock

I have a 590 too and I just changed the stock to an ATI M4 style stock. It has been a great addition, and the recoil pad comes with the package.

Try matching the butt-end of your stock
to the templates on " limbsaver.com "

... and make sure the aspect ratio is at 100percent !
