Moss%20590%20A1%20Plus%202%20Mag%20Extension.JPG

id buy both the 14 and the 18.5, I like the keep the 14 in the truck, car or when camping and the 18.5 for home, so they feel the same when loading when you cant see.

I've owned my Mossberg M590A1 14" bbl Ghost Ring sights and SpeedFfed stock for about 10 years. Love it and will never sell it, amazingly accurate with slugs at 100/200 yards with adjustable ghost ring sights just like an AR-15/M-14 rifle.

I also love the full-size M590A1 with 20" bbl 9-shot combat shotgun with Ghost Ring sights....Amazing shotgun with Bayo lug and 9 shots of 2 3/4 " 00Buck Magnum (12 pellets) shells.

Walking around in grizzly bear country I would have a full-size Mossberg M590A1 20" bbl Ghost sights and a Marling .45-70 Govt lever rifle loaded with hard cast +P 405 gr slugs @ 1875 fps ......wow

I agree. I had the 590A1 18.5" 5+1 and it felt like a better balanced shotgun compared to the 20" higher capacity model. Just my opinion. The 14" 5+1 is also very well balanced, love both of them.

Ended up selling the 18.5 and 20, keeping the 14". Shorty's are just damned cool.

I vote 20" + ghost ring sights. I had the 18.5 and when I got the 20 I sold the shorter one.

If you want a shorty get a DA grizzly. I think you can cheap out on a shorty cuz it's not like you'll be hitting anything with it anyways... and with a pistol grip you can pretty much be blindfolded and expect the same results on target ;)

Not exactly the best advice or opinion I've seen on cgn.

Lol... Fair enough. But I know what works for me; the longer the barrel on a shotgun the better.

I've got lots of shotguns of all different styles and lengths from 8.5" to 26", and I've made shots like the video there with my old sawed off pistol grip double barrel Stevens, but my 20" 590 is my favourite of the lot by far... So I stand by my opinion, be it good or bad to you

I had quite a few shotguns with the barrels in 30", 20", 18" and 14" length. I didn't like the balance of 20" with the full tube...way too front heavy. 14" and 18" are my favorites.

I just put a mixture through my new 590A1 14" and it kicks good. Even the 7.5 Shot had some wack.

What's the 18.5" in comparison?

A little bit heavier but if the 7.5 is whacking you with the 14"er I doubt another 4 1/2" of barrel is going to be noticed much.
A good recoil pad and good technique will help the most. The "fit" of the shotgun to the shooter is also important.....some guns fit some people better then others out of the box.

Yeah I don't mean it's kicking bad but It defo has a good wack. 00 and slugs Kick more as to be expected.

Looking for an 'Out of stock EVERYWHERE' Magpul as the LOP is a little long and hinders my ability to pull it right into the meat.

The gun is really light compaired to other 12g's I've shot.

Are you speaking of the Magpul SGA? I'm pretty sure ctcsupplies a site sponsor has them. I just got mine from Brownells. Would have shopped Canadian but I wanted stealth grey and couldn't find it and I'm very impatient.

Yeah thanks allot. CTC are out of stock, all colours.

I live 40 mins from the US border so I have option's.

Iam not really feeling any discomfort from today's shinanigans, maybe my biceps is a little sore so the stock is moving about under recoil.

I will fire off another few boxes tomorrow and see if its operator error, Stock incompatibility or if Iam just a fairy :d

Come on then, show us some pics of the stealth stock?
