I bought an 18.5" barrel Mossberg 590A1 off a member here and it appears the threads on the magazine tube are worn off. They are worn off so much the gun falls apart when it's fired. I have a not so funny video of this. I don't want to return the gun as I changed some parts on it and don't want to go through the hassles of asking for my money back. Anyway, where can I buy an 5 shot Mossberg magazine tube?

Does anyone know if the model 835 tube is the same or compatible? I searched Brownells and the usual places and havn't found specifically a 590 5 shot tube.

Thanks

I had my 870 disassemble itself upon firing once due to an incorrectly attached mag extension. Not so much fun.
I've been looking at the extensions for the 590A1's. $100+shipping for a +2 is a bit steep, thus why I don't have one yet.

Grech outdoors is the warranty center if I'm not mistaken. They should be able to get you another mag tube.

Not too far away either...

Thanks for the responses guys! I contacted Mossberg and bought the part-the 590 and 835 mag tubes are the same I was told. Casey at Tac Ord can do the install so this problem should be solved. I was under the impression 590A1's were the toughest shotguns, kinda like the Benelli M4 i'm not impressed with the tank like reputation. Although my 20" 590A1 has never failed me.

If anyone feels like laughing....

Before paying someone to swap it out why not try it yourself? The tube is already ruined so it's not like you can make things worse. It's simply threaded into the receiver, the mag tube on my 500 can actually be removed by hand.

It isn't too expensive so I'll try to hand remove it but if I have to heat it up to remove it i'll just take it to a pro.
Good advice anyway.

*Update, I removed the old tube and installed the new one, simple case of a part loosing it's threads over time I guess. Works fine now.
