When I went through my manual it advised that the trigger pull was adjustable and advised how but when I removed the trigger group the screw they advise to reduce the pull does not exist in the trigger group ? Any one else notice this ?

Some have the adjustable LPA trigger, most don't.
The A1 has two hammer springs, 1 little one inside the big one. You can remove the little spring and it will reduce trigger pull. Might not be the best idea depending on your usage.

The A-1 trigger is not adjustable.I dont advise tampering with the springs.

It will smooth out and break cleaner than what you have new out of the box with use.

Product ID 34983 590A1 18.5 parkerized LPA trigger. (looks like Savage accu-trigger, slightly different profile to trigger guard.)
The 500's seem to make do with one hammer spring. I do agree it will smooth out with use though.

The Mossberg Owners Manual is a cruel joke.

I'm very disappointed in the 590A1 Owners Manual.
Their description of sight adjustment is just pathetic.
These shotguns are made in USA, but the manuals read
like they've been written by lawyers who know nothing
about the product. Incorrectly describing important
procedures? Describing and promoting features that don't
even exist? Their manual is desperately in need of
editing. What is Mossberg doing, trying to make me into
a Remington customer? Feh!
