Likely 30" when folded. I'm speaking from past experience with the 14" model where folding was just under 26" so I had to scrap that idea and go with a fixed stock

Yeah I was worried about that. Trying to figure out 26-28 backwoods solution but in a proven form factor. All good. If the 14" shockwave or 590A1 could get a folder, we'd be set but since it can go pop with the stock folded, no bueno.

I believe the 590M actually uses a slightly longer barrel, something like 14.375" and if memory serves me correctly, this is just enough to bring you to 26" folded. Depends on the folder too though, I tried the Choate side folder but goodluck finding it these days. Wish they made an underfolder lol.

If you're not averse to keltec, the KSG (forgot which model exactly) will get you there.

You can also just add a mag tube extension on a 14" barrel model to bring it to 26" folded, plus you get more mag capacity as a bonus.

Oh damn, I never even considered that! The +1 extension would look okay I think, would probably surpass the muzzle by less than an inch.

I inquired about something similar to this in another thread awhile ago, installing a pistol grip on a 14" 870 and adding a mag tube extension to meet the inch or so needed to get the right overall length but was told the measurement can't be made from the end of mag extension to count towards the legal required length, had to be from the end of the barrel..
