Someone please update me on the 715t 25 round mags ban ? Is the 715 p hitting Canadian markets ?? I hope not!!! Sick of wasting money on stuff that gets banned !!!
Again! Mossberg and/or Gun Shops cannot prohibit magazines in Canada! They can only refuse to ship/sell them now. Any legal classification will come from the RCMP and I have not seen anything from them as of yet.
I would not exchange any 25 rounders for 10's just yet. Then again just with the crap Mossberg is pulling right now I wouldn't buy a 715T right now anyway.
I own one, 25 round 10 round...make no difference to me still a cheep POS that never gets used because I spend more time clearing jams and FTF than I do shooting it(may be partly my fault for pulling the mag out with the bolt closed) never had a rifle that needed the bolt open to pull one before....
Thing that bugs me is there is no reason we should have to deal with this garbage...Its a 22
NOT TRUE!
Why would anyone think that mossberg PR nitwits are any smarter than a government nitwit?
The magazines were designed for the RIFLE. As such, they are legal.
No laws regarding magazines have been changed.
Even if it didn't the fact that it exists is enough justification for RCMP to make the device prohibited lol.
But they are using the same logic to justify why they will approve the new VZ-58-compatible 10rd pistol mag
There is no RCMP logic.
To our distributors, dealers and consumers in Canada: O.F. Mossberg will replace any 25-round magazines you currently have with a 10-round magazine.
Then again just with the crap Mossberg is pulling right now I wouldn't buy a 715T right now anyway.
I've been following this since Jan. There's another thread in legalese , With a post of an old RCMP posting regarding mag capacities . Anyway I called CFO in NB yesterday and was talking to a RCMP tech , she was aware of the 715 p and 715t situation. She told me that the 25rnd mags are prohibited. So is that good enough answer, there must be some one on here who can clear this up, lawyer or NFA or somebody who is qualified. This is effecting a lot of people and we need to know for sure. I know it's only a $40 mag issue for a lowly .22 but I supported other causes that had no effect to me . So how do we find out for sure?
No one should ever buy a 715t. It's junk.
