Mossberg 715 p situation

Nanaimo canadian tire still sells the 25

Bass pro in Calgary was still selling the 25 round mags a month ago...when I bought one there. If I wasn't a CGN member and bought my 715 for plinking and never went to the Mossberg website to see if my magazine capacities legality had changed or was about to, how would you ever know? You know kind of like the 20,000-30,000 other people who bought them. Doubt this would even be enforceable.

Well as far as I know, there is no Magazine limit on .22 cal. in Canada. The problem seems that the U.S. make a Pistol that uses the 25 round mag. and as such the Pistol does not meet export conditions so the Mag's, will not be shipped, even though the capacity is legal in Canada. Anyone care to correct me, pls. do so. I have read the regulations on .22 cal capacity mag's., and this is what I take away from it. Same problem with Factory ruger 25 mag's. although the other Companies can ship their 25 round mag's to Canada because they don't stipulate that they can be used in Pistols. Word games.

Ya I'm going with this, if any body say s to me that my 25 rnd mag is illegal , I say Canadian tire sold it to me and nobody has since told me it's illegal and nowhere on RCMP website does it say Mossberg 25 rnd mag is prohibited. If I have no internet service am I even supposed to call the RCMP on a daily basis to see if whatever firearms I own have become restricted?

Being naïve is not a legal excuse. However you are right, the RCMP hasn't made a statement. That being said, I have a question, are the BX25X2 mags prohibited?
HiCal sold them legally to us. However they are prohibited! I have three mags being held by ITT/ customs. I'm on my second appeal and have a court date for Aug.
Is the BX25X2 listed in writing on the Prohibited list like the BX25 and the S&P 15/22 25 round mags? NO. Does the packaging and web site state that it's only for the 10/22 rifles? YES
However they are prohibited!
Thus I'm guessing that the 715T mags will fall under the prohib list just like all these other mags!
Silly = yes, but that's what we are dealing with until enough of us make a stand!

Did the m&p and ruger make the handgun first or the rifle? Were these mags made for the handguns first.?nevermind I googled it. Lol
