Mossberg 715 tactical .22 help!

Hello,
Went to try out my Mossberg 715 .22lr for the first time but its not shooting it as semi automatic for some reason. I have to manually pull the back and forth after each shot is fired. What am i doing wrong?

Could be your ammo? what are you using?

Mine eats everything. I cleaned and oiled it well when I got it last Feb. and have shot a couple thousand rounds and only run a bore snake through it occasionally. Try CCI Mini Mags or .22 Tactical ammo.

Mine was very dry when I got it. Clean & oil it well. Sounds very stiff and dry.

Cci ar tac is not low velocity.

I'm guessing the bolt/ gun needs cleaning. Take it apart, clean well and see if there is any binding points showing on the bolt.
I don't think it's a mag issue.
If it's a new 715t I really hope you stipped it down before shooting!

Good advice.
Must clean out the oil that the rifles comes with, as it is too thick and will also absorb powder residue and gum up action.
Break free is a great rimfire lube.
Mossberg also recommends HV ammo only, so you may have to try a few brands.
I found like others that mags had to be broke in as well.

Must use hv ammo,rem thunderbolt or Winchester super x works great.I did not strip mine down and clean it right out of the box but it did clean the barrel.using the mag loader works best if you push mag loader all the way down then release just enough pressure off to slide cartridge under.cartridges should slide in with no force.If you force them they do not line up correctly.I have 400 rnds Winchester super x and 300 rds rem thunder bolt with maybe 2 fte '3 FTf.I think I like the Winchester better

+3 on the ammo having too low of a velocity.

nothing on the date, just the technicalities.
With the 715 though.. even though the mags would technically fit the 702 pistol. The plastic moulding isn't set up for the 702. The magazine isn't intended for them.

May be a noob mistake on your part but if your going to make a statement like that you should really post the proof
