What I have read in another thread and a few other places, is people have been told from the CFO's and RCMP is the old Mags are OK (For Now) as they were clearly labeled on packaging and marketed for Use in 715T RIFLE Only. All NEW imports will be prohibited and limited to only 10 rounds. As these new mags are now labeled on packaging and marketed for Use in both Rifle and Pistol.
Seeing there is something like 40-70K of these in Canada alone already the RCMP has not jumped on Prohibiting them and as the old ones are legally Marketed Correctly using "For RIFLE use Only". That is why there is no Bulletin updates to prohibit existing Mags (Yet). Also no Pistol has yet to be import to my understanding ( Could change any day) SO they are not readily available in Canada yet either.
So no one need to run out and pin there mags until such time we are told to do so by a RCMP bulletin. Find all the old ones you can and buy them as new Imported ones WILL be limited to 10 rounds from now on
