Mossberg 715T stock question

My dad just pick up a flattop Mossberg AR-15 lookalike .22. He doesn't like the stock, and we are wondering if the stock tube is commercial or mil-spec. Thanks in advance.

You'd be better off posting your inquiry in the Rimfire forum. I doubt that anything on that gun is mil-spec lol I'd really just keep it the way it is other than possibly mounting a red dot or a low mag scope. It's a fun range plinker, I had a blast with the one I borrowed, but it's not a platform you'd wanna sink much money into. You'd be better going with a 10/22 with Marauder stock

It fits most available stocks. I'm running a MagPul ACS on mine.

Thanks, I don't really go into the Rimfire forum, so I forgot there is one. And it's my dad's rifle, it's what he wanted, and he REALLY likes the my fake Crane stock.
