mossberg 8000? experience

hey there fellas,
what can you guys tell me about the Mossberg model 8000 rifle? I found one in the shed in .22-250, far from showroom finish but in general whats the feedback with this rifle?

cannot find much info on the rifle at all. theres one similar on gunauction for 256 bux. seems like just an early days rifle...

this one has a custom peep site. pretty cool. il have to buy some ammo!

Buddy of mine had one in .30-06. He hunted with it for a lot of years. Killed deer and elk just fine.

Shot well with factory Winchester ammo, never had a problem with the function of the rifle.

Clean it up, refinish the stock and use it!

im going into town tomorrow to grab sand paper an rub it back! going to take the barrel back too to some degree? maybe black kill rust paint it . use it open sight on fallow deer
