Mossberg 817. Anyone have one, opinions?

Just looking for an honest opinion on this firearm. I know some other mossy rimfires have had issues but would like an opinion on this one as I've been told there is a lot of difference between them. I found one at a local shop and he also had a savage there but for the life of me I couldn't get used to the short LOP on the savage. The mossy seemed at least an inch and half longer and standing them on there buttstock confirmed it for me. I'm looking at mounting a 6-18x40 Bushnell on it as well.. I'm going to run CCI FMJ .17's through it for squirrels and rabbits as well as using it for dispatching unhealthy racoons and foxes.

Well even without many reviews on this rifle I had the shop put it on hold for me. Also having them mount a 6-18x50mm scope on it and bore sight it. Going to have them order a brick of CCI gamepoints.
 
I'm sure it will he fine. I almost bought one bit got the stevens instead. The hmr is wicked acurate and inexpensive to shoot. Have fun
