I need an answer to a question about the Mossberg 817, and the bolt on this rifle. Does the bolt clear a scope with regular mounts? It kinda looks like it angles up too high then it's open in some pictures.
I commited to a 817 from these forums, its the one with the composite stock and regular looking barrel. I intend on putting a Minox ZA5 4-20x50, or a Tasco Varmint 6x24x42 scope on it,with standard height rings, and really dont wanna use any high rise rings on it, so its imperative that the bolt clears the scope!
can anyone please let me know asap, as i wanna pay for it tomorrow.... ;-)
