Mossberg 817 Opinion???

I have an opportunity to purchase a Mossberg 817 with a 3X9 Bushnell scope attached. What is it worth? Does anyone have any experience with the rifle or calibre?

The info online says it is worth approx $250 USD. plus whatever the scope is worth. I have no experience with the 17 cal as it interests me not. A used gun is worth about 3/4 of the new price if it has not been abused.
