Don't do any playing with these so need some help here
Friend dropped off his old 835 this morning that he split the forearm on and it is pretty much beyond fixing
Will a forearm off say a 500 fit these or does it have to be a 835
Also where could I buy a new camo set to fit this if he wants to replace the old wood stock also
Thanks in advance for the help

The older ones could be replaced with 500 furniture as the forearm could be separated from the action bars. The newer ones are a one piece molded design. If there's a metal ring at the muzzle end of the forearm with 2 notches in it spin it off. There's a T type wrench for it but careful use of a punch and hammer will get it spinning. Once it's off pull the for arm off and replace it. Spin the lock ring back on. If it's a newer style the action bars will have to be replaced with a whole new for arm

Cool. I would say my remington wrench for this would work also . I just was not sure what forearm would fit and this one is surly old style since he bought it the first year the 3 1/2 came out.
Cannot be too hard to find a good used mossy 500 forearm for him. I will check the EE
Thanks again

Numrich has tons of wood stocks and forearms for pretty much all models of Mossys.
Just bought an old stock from the 60`s or 70`s from them for my Frankenstein 500 skeet gun.

Check it out, may be what your looking for.
