So being that in canada 5+1 is the most we can have, and the 930 is being imported with no +2 mag tube.
who would be intrested in a +1 mag tube for the 930 spx.
May be an easyer idea then blocking off our 930 +2 mag we allready offer.

Can't speak for everybody but I will take one blocked +2 for my newly acquired 930 Tactical (still coming through the mail have yet to arrive).

Also, just some thought after search pretty much the entire North America (Canada and US) nobody and I mean nobody carry (or has in stock) the LPA ghost ring sight.

Imagine if you manufacture them!!!

Doable??

Sorry for sounding stupid, but doesn't the +1 tube make it a prohibited device because it is now able to hold 6 shells in the tube? I thought that the "+1" bit is usually okay because that's just one in the chamber, and not +1 in the tube...

5+1 (tube) +1 (chamber) +1 (ghost load) sounds pretty good to me, though :)

with semi auto shotgun the term you need to apply is "5 rounds of the type of ammunition made for that gun"

so for example guns that can hold 5+1 of 3" magnums can usually allready hold 6+1 of 2.75's .... the gun probably hold 4+1 3" .... so adding a +1 to make it 5+1 of 3" is legal... as an aside it would hold 6+1 of 2.75" and still be perfectly legal.

or a whole bunch of those 2" micro shells too...

The 930 magazine only holds 4 rounds so the +1 extension brings it up to the legal magazine limit of 5.

I'd buy a +1 for my 930 Tactical, so long as it retains the sling mount.

boxcoach - good point, sling mount switchable left/right for the of us that can't make up our minds lefties ;)

There is some interesting literature out there regarding this.

My *understanding* (understanding meaning, once I hear what I want to, I'll edit out the rest) is that if your shotty can fit 5 3" shells legally, you are good to go. So fitting 6 2 3/4" shells in the same space that 5 3" shells fit, you should also still be good to go. Please update me if this information is incorrect...

Yes, you can ghost load the 930.

Someone told me where he got a 930 Home Defense from, but I can't remember what shop it was.

I'd like a longer tube blocked off for 1 1/2. For two reasions

first-the vang comp +1 I have now is very tight to get the 5th rd in using some brands of ammo and forget about it with slugs.they're just to long.

And 2nd it add a place to mount a light using a barrel mag clamp.

Just my. 2¢

Vang does not make a +1 for the 930 only a +1 for the mossy 590 as its a different thread.
If you useing S&B or any of the Euro 12 ga its al la little bit longer.
Same for the cheap no name stuff it can be off sizes.
Easy way to fix that is trimm the spring you have a little, and i do meen a little.
Boring out a +2 or +3 part way would make the front end very very heavy.
And get into custome 1 off builds.
It could be done but i,m not sure you would like the price.
But i price is not an issue then please contact us.

I think it was milarm

I think you are right, it's where I snagged my SPX :)

Milarm has a funny way of sometimes getting stuff in. When I first was shopping around for a 590, Milarm had a price that was $150 less than everyone else. Nowadays, most online stores are sitting around that price but does not include shipping.

But back to the matter at hand, Greenhorse, you could just purchase S&J's + 2 extension and block it off with a bolt and a 2" nut on the inside. GTG.

Then you could choose from the variety of tube/barrel clamps they have in stock, install and voila' :)

ps. Simon, please get those 930 railed forends going. Daddy want so don't make me call you! :D

Sent my 930 in to Tactical ordinance for some work and they put the Vang mag ext on, so I'm not sure one way or the other about if it was rethreaded or not

Will try shorting the mag spring. Thanks for that.
