Mossberg 930/935... What do you think of them?

I would describe my 935 as like shooting an auto 5 that I can use for hunting with up to 3.5" shells, as well as the cheapest 2 3/4" traploads (most of what it sees, since I bought it last Christmas), and since I love auto 5's that's saying something.

It shoots all shells equally well. Really nice gun, but ya, it wouldn't be my pick for long walks, nor would any other semi.

I must say that I think I am now sold on the 930..... I just sold my Auto-5... It's headed to the post office tomorrow.... Then, it's off to Cabelas! Thanks CGN!!

935 owner right here. I purchased this gun as my first autoloader and absolutely loved it. Not once did it ever Jam while using 3 or 3.5's. Being quite a bit smaller at the time I purchase it did give me a bit of a beating if I was shooting 3.5's all day (but so would anything else). Although the gun is not advertised to shoot 2.75's reliably I have found that with proper maintenance it will spit out some target loads with a big dram and will also pump out heavy lead loads. As long as the shells are at least 1-1/4 ounce load I trusted the gun enough to take it hunting. The weight is enough to dull the recoil with lighter loads and is light enough that I didn't get tired of carrying it around. The gun is also very easy to take apart and clean. Unfortunately I need room in the safe and am considering putting it up for sale.

Let me know if you have any more questions. I'm sure I've missed some things.
