Looking into one of these through irunguns, any issues with it? Search youtube and google and cant find any. Wanted to see if any of you knew of any?
My biggest concern is can it cycle on any kind ofshells? I usually use federal bulk 8shot 1 1/8 load tgt for a reference.

Thanks

Mine runs like a Swiss watch.

Never had a jam or misfeed. No problems whatsoever.

Never fired any buckshot from it. But I've fired a ton of trap-loads, and a whole bunch of rifled slugs. (All Winchester brand, from Canadian Tire)

Great gun.

go to the brian enos forums and search for this gun.
couple of really good threads there on issues and fixes etc.
They have many more of them in use in the US than we do up here.
reliability seems to be hit and miss.

So far mine ate everything I fed it. Including cheap aluminum rimmed Winchester 100 bulk pack from Crappy tire. I've read that it likes anything that's above 1100~1200 fps...

Smooth shooter. Lightweight. Points well. Common maintenance suggestion is to clean the piston rings every 350~400 shots and it'll run like butter.

Mine runs great. Cleaned it up when I got it home, (it was pretty much good to go, but that's my OCD), added a couple of mods and I'm loving it. I am looking for a newer, longer barrel, or tap it and play with a choke or two.

PM me if you have any questions.

Mike

I have the SPX (8 shot), edition. I Opened feed port, enlarged safety, added shell carrier, enhanced follower and added grip tape to areas.
I don't have the longer/ choked barrel that comes with the JM series. Kind of kicking myself for that, but will have options once I find another barrel for it.

Any ideas guys where I can get a 22" or 24" vented rib barrel for the 930 around ontario? Hard to find a place where they have them in.

Mike

Every review I've seen on the versa max has been positive, the tactical is on my short list. If one is looking for a vented rib semi to play around with I would suggest looking at those new Warriors, under $600 bucks with 2 barrels...$1300 for the Versa max, it makes things difficult for people who like variety but are budget conscious.

Hey Stevo. I know what you mean. Hard stuff to find. I'm giving it until the spring and I might take the plunge and get a VM or save up and look into the Benelli's. Love my Mossy, but want that barrel.

I was pretty happy with the 930, though I did have to use 1 1/8 oz, 3 dram loads to get it to run reliably. Lack of chokes for 3 gun was the deal breaker.

Good luck with your search.

Where can i get a new one in canada?

Which? The JM Pro shotty? The only place to get them in Canada is from Irunguns. Mossberg aren't modifying these to be Canada compliant but Irunguns US are plugging the mag extensions so that they are and exporting them to Canada. Any warranty work on these needs to go back to Irunguns.
