mossberg 930 reviews?

I have a tactical model 930 and it cycles even the worst crappy tire ammo and some dirty old canuck loads. Excellent piece of kit. I have a rem 1100,870 and the Mossberg 930 has become my favourite. The fit and finnish isn't the best, but it functions well and is easy to strip down for cleaning.
jaimiejaf... This may be a silly question but here goes....do you have to keep it very clean for it to function properly? Like most semi-auto's I imagine this is the case?
How many rounds have you gone before any stopages or failure to feeds?

I have owned my 930 for about 3 years and have had no problems. I cleaned the gas-system area this winter for the first time and I have put about 1200 rounds through it including everything from Winchester 7 1/2 AA to Remington 3 inch steel , buckshot and slug loads. I cleaned the barrel once in awhile and w-d 40 the action about the same. The only problem I had is when a reload popped out the primer and jammed up my safety. The primer pocket was stretched from numerous reloadings and wasn't the fault of the gun. I don't know why people buy the expensive ones. These Mossies are like the Hummers. They take alot of battle flak and keep on going.
It's the only gun I've not sold. It will digest anything, I've yet to have a failure.
It's light, it's fast, it's reliable.
Only 'con' as mentioned above... it's not pretty, but I love it!
I've done the lightest trap loads to 3" BuckHammers... no probs!

Make sure the front sight is welded on straight.

They have done very well in the US.
They did have abot 5000 that has soem site issue, being welded on not stright.
Thats on the tactical .
The other issue , which dont matter to us as we can only have 5 rd mags, is jam issues with the cheap mag ollower and cheap choate mag tube.
S&J hardware make an aftermarket solid steel mag tube and out Durlin follower.
This has been a great thing for our US customers as it has fixed the problem completly.
