I'm thinking of purchasing a Mossberg 930 SPX from Gunbroker and having it imported. Are these legal here in Canada since it holds 8 rounds? I heard that these used to be available in Canada but are no longer being imported - hence they are legal here??

Not unless you pin/block the mag to 5 rounds. There is a dealer working on importing these into Canada for next year.

Remmber its 5 rounds of 3inch magnum as that's what the gun is chambered for.
Your best bet is to ship the gun up without the mag tube. Then buy one hear.
Its no lose as that factory +e mag tube is the biggest course of issues with the SPX
