I recently bought a Mossberg 935 and it's my first semi-auto shotgun. The thing seems to fire any 3" or 3.5" shell without ever jamming even when it's extremely dirty. I was hoping to have it double as a good "camping gun" that I can use against bears etc and I can't shoot slugs through my barrel. Not to mention it's too big to keep around for that type of use.
I couldn't find any barrels available that are smaller than 24" and I was hoping to simply buy another barrel and have it cut down to 18.5" and hopefully be able to shoot slugs through the second barrel. I don't know much about shotguns and was motifvated to do this primarily by cost and the ease of simply switching barrels on the same shotgun. Any advice on how I could best do this?
