If you placed an order, you likely would not have received it. Mossberg putting a wooden plug in the gun that could be removed by simply unthreading a mag cap is not the permanent alteration required by Canadian regs regarding centerfire semi’s.

I know personally of someone that bought one plugged. I’ve held it in my own hands. But I guess I wasn’t there to watch him purchase

Regardless, Mossberg will simply offer a “Canada” version.
 
Could you stick a Briley extension tube on it for more capacity if the Canadian model comes with limited rounds.

Briley makes the chokes tubes for this gun.

You could if you have no regard for the stupid laws we have. Gun clubs do not allow prohibited firearms, which is what it would be with a mag capacity of more than 5. You also run the risk of getting booked with a prohibited device which it would be even if it has a plug. Mags for semi centerfires that hold more than 5 rounds need to be permanently altered and a plug isn't permanent. Doesn't make much sense, but it is what it is.

So a little dab of epoxy would make it permanent, problem solved.
