This comes at the right time for our American friends, with the removal of the tax stamp for SBS's, Huzzah.

this is a most welcome introduction after the scarcity and disappearance of the Remington TAC 13. always wanted it but never could find one in stock anywhere. anyway it sounds like mossberg did a bit of homework designing this shotgun. usually I sit back and wait for a year or two after a new gun gets introduced but I'll make an exception in this case. mossberg makes pretty solid guns. all this thing needs is a chisel folder.

In typical CGN protocols, I was about to scoff and ridicule you over the $2K threshold...probably something like "the 1301 can be had for $1800 all in DONKEY, and is 1000x's better than anything Mossberg has ever dreamt of."

It might have been in 2024.

I'd still choose a Beretta or Benelli just because of Mossberg's poor track record with semis, including the fact that they change up their designs every few years.

Consider that the 940 has only been around since 2020, and they're already going to this significantly different 990 model.

If that is a 1301 current price you are referring to, just have to ask where you are shopping? Got mine way cheaper and still way cheaper than that here. Gone up $81 since I got mine. Probably due to higher gas prices.........

Still landed at same price as Gen 2s here, last fall.
Up a bit now, but still sub-$2K.
