Mossberg barrel interchangeable ???

I have a Maverick88, came with a 28 ribbed smooth bore. I found a Moss 500 barrel to cut down to use as a slug barrel, work great.

someone just gave me a 24" riffled Moss 535 barrel.... doesn't fit , it's like 1" shorter from the chamber to the front screw.

That sucks cause I could easily make the 500 or Mav88 barrel fit on a 535 ( longer screw and a shim ).

any good idea to make that work ?
