I was trying to put the bolt into the receiver of my old Mossberg 195K bolt action shotgun and it wouldn't slide in, even when I held the trigger down.
That never happened before.
So I pulled it out and the front part of the bolt (bolt sleeve?)stayed in the action and the bolt handle and firing pin part came out. I took the sleeve out of the receiver and it slips on the other part of the bolt, but won't lock in place at all, and when I try to insert it again, it just won't go past the removeable box magazine slot. I don't have the magazine in right now.
Is the bolt supposed to come apart like that?
What am I doing wrong?
