The Mossberg Chainsaw was unveiled at the 2011 SHOT Show to much criticism. Given the controversy, I knew that had to have one so I ordered it right away! It arrived today!

As mean is it looks, the Chainsaw is actually designed for door breaching. The handle on top gives you better leverage and is more ergonomic to press against the door. It does rack very easily from the top handle.

It’s actually cooler than I expected! I can’t wait to take it to the range!

yes it is meant to be hip fired. i would like to get a laser to help aim.

Mossbergs latest offering's border on absurdity. To each their own but when this thing first debuted I thought it was an internet prank that someone photo-shopped together.... If only that were true.

The handle comes off easily. Two(?) bolts attach it to the bottom rail on the handguard.

Take it off and it's a regular pistol grip shotgun with a breaching device.

I have to admit, I find all the stainless steel tables and things in the pics a little......spooky for some reason.

I like the shotgun. Must be a bugger to breach an upper door hinge with it though.
