Mossberg Chuckster scope mounting

So I recently picked up a Mossberg Chuckster 22 mag. How is everyone mounting a scope in these things? The dovetail is so far forward that it's basically useless. Cantilever rings? Dove tail to Weaver adapter?

You have found the main weakness of the chuckster. You best bet is to find an order scope with very long 1" sections, perhaps at a gunshow.
