Well Mossberg finally got around to answering a simple email I sent Jan 17th.

3 days short of THREE MONTHS to tell me:

1) Yes we'll send you a catalogue.

2) Here is a copy/paste list of repair centres in Canada.

Should I send in a formal complaint or will it fall upon deaf ears?

You would be surprised how some companies will start doing what you want if you "ask for a manager" or file a complaint. In Mark's Work Wearehouse or Canadian TIre, they will do whatever you want if you send a complaint up above store managment.... hell, even best buy will (YES, I have done it at each store except MWWH, but that is because the service there is normally top notch)

Why do you even bother to go shopping?

You coulda posted the repair centers here, I bet you would of got an answer.

I bought my 535 ATS from Grech's because they were an authorized repair center, and it was an amazing price. :)

I called Grech's Outdoors in Mount Forest, Ontario, he sent me two for like 8 bucks.

Called and left a message with a service rep to have a supervisor contact me.

She didn't seem too concerned that it took Mossberg 87 days to write me a one line email.

We'll see what the supervisor (on lunch) has to say when they call back.

I called them a couple years ago over troubles with my Mossy shotgun and they were quick and helpful (both on the phone and on email). Now the 'authorized repair shop' guy was another story!!!!!! :kickInTheNuts:

Well, not Mossberg related, but about 3 years ago, I bought a box of winchester partition gold rifle ammo. I got the box home but didnt open it up for about 2 months later. Out of the 20 rounds that were in it, 5 rounds had cracked necks in them, cracked enough that I could pull the bullet out with my fingers. Well there safety if I ever saw it. I quickly jumped on the website and emailed in a complaint with the serial number on the box etc. Well 3 years later I still havent heard anything. I guess they just dont give a f**k about customer satisfaction, (now Im out about 10 bucks), not even to mention my safety. So it was 3 years ago that I stopped buying winchester altogether. I even took the box back to the place I bought them from and all they said was (wow thats amazing!) and thats all they said and did. So I guess no one cares anymore! So be thankful at least you heard back from them!!!

I'm just curious as to why anyone would buy a Mossberg product in the first place.
They have remained in business for many years but seriously I have no idea how they have.
Mossberg pump shotguns are the only ones I have ever seen leave a goose blind and get wrapped around the closest poplar tree on the way back to the trucks.
That said I have heard that the U.S military buys great volumes of that same design.
I've have never owned one of their products but I have never seen any appeal in owning one other than they are the least expensive choice on the rack.
Just wonderin is all.
For all I know about them the new versions may be better than Bennelli and Remington 870's all rolled into one.

Just that from what I've seen in the past they were total scrap sold by discount stores like Co-op and Maclouds.:nest:
