Does anybody know anything about the model 42B. I am going to look at one and would appreciate any coments about quality and possible market value. Thanks
 
Made 1938-41.the gun is a box mag fed, 5-shots, open sights and just an average every day gun. Quite accurate as I have several Mossys and target shoot them all. If drilled and tapped on the left rear of the action, you may find a peep sight that will enhance your accuracy. I had a 42C and it was not drilled or slotted for a scope. There are guns like the Lakefield Mark II that are as good and scope ready. The mags for the 42 are rare and hard to come by but 10 shot mags are readily available for the savage,lakefield guns. your choice......


The one I bought cost me $100 shipped.Resale is difficult to say the least.
