Anyone knows where I would be able to locate one ? I know they stopped producing them sometime in 96'. My dad would like one and, I'd like to find one for him. The Savage 210 would be too pricey, before anyone mentions it. Any other suggestions on a rifled barrel bolt action ?

You will probably spend the equivalent of a new Savage boltgun on a used 695, The only ones I know of are being used in shotgun only Zones here in eastern Ontario. Not many were made and they are good guns, one is picky about what it shoots well the other is not and groups even cheapy Winchester 15 pack slugs into 3 inches or so at 100 yards.

Thank you kindly for your comments . :) They really go for that much ??:eek:

Folks snapped up the limited numbers of 695's available because at the time it was basicly the 300$ Mossberg or the 800$ Browning A-bolt Slug gun(prices are approximate). The ones I have seen generally shoot aswell as the A-bolts.Most people stuck with their Mossies and because of the good accuracy they sort of made a name for themselves and that coupled with limited production means prices are high. If you are content with a smooth bore, the Mossberg 395 uses the same action and can be fitted with better rifle sites than the ones that come stock.
