Mossberg MVP, good or bad ?

They take AR mags and shoot well I have both a 308 and a 223 I enjoy them for what they are a short barreled AR magazine fed bolt action rifles. Both of mine have went pew every time I have squeezed the trigger and yes the action is not as smooth as a tikka but it's also feeding from 10 round AR pistol magazines that are $30 and I have dozens of. A tikka ctr magazine costs over $200 with tax and shipping!

So like I said I like mine but I bought them specifically because of the magazines and use them for what they are designed for. If you want some 1/4 moa butter smooth action rifle then ya probably not for you.

I got one and its my first PR-type rifle. I liked the package with the scope/bipod and nice stock. Bolt is what it is... you have to operate it with authority. Problem is perception. There is limited love for Mossberg rifles in general, and everybody would prefer to get a Rem 700, for the brand. I'm not saying people are all gun-snobs, but I think there is a mossberg rifles stigma. To me, It shoots well, takes 5.56 NATO pressures, AR mags...its not a bad rifle at all. But at resale, one may take a hit. just because "WTH! ARMAHGERD! MOUSEBERGHS MAKES SHOTGUNS NOT RIFLES!!!!!!"..sorry its my theory.
