Mossberg MVP LC .223

Way way cheaper to buy a mvp then the chassis from mdt and put them together yourself. Mossberg is looking for over 2k american for the light chassis. I bought a mvp patrol .308 and that's my plan to buy a lss chassis from mdt.

Have you actually worked out the price difference?

When the MVP first came out, there was some comment re: the drop/push gadget on the bottom of the bolt face and some AR 15 mags were said to be a loose fit, but feeding was OK.

I have both mvp patrols in 223 and 308, you have to get used to how the bolt runs, that's all there is to it, its got a different feel to them, its lose yet ive managed to fire off all 5 rounds very quickly once I figured out how, ive used your standard AR-15 pinned GI 30 rounder (people at the range are like WTF!) p mags( feels way to loose but feed surprisingly well) and the factory stock mag for 223, as well as the norinco mags from my m14 in the 308 version, they are light, I love the trigger personally, and they are NATO stamped 5.56 and 7.62, what are you going to be using this rifle for, plinking, preadator, hunting, Long range shooting, ?

I thought a chassis was a car part.

the one for $2000 also comes with a vortex scope, so it is cheaper to buy the package. You can get it without the scope and I believe its close to $1000 for just the MVP LC

Cabelas.ca has the combo deal for $1930 and no scope for $1370. The scope sells around $800 but I've seen it higher so it's a deal if you get the scope with it. I did a quick part check and the breakdown was as follows.

- Scope = $800CND
- Brake = $90US (Say $100CND)
- Chassis = $400CND
- Magazine = $40CND
- Pistol Grip = $20CND
- Butt Stock = $130CND (Tube & Nut Incl.)
- Caldwell bipod = $50

So that leaves the cost of the rifle at $390CND, not great for a Mossberg but not bad either. To buy the rifle and add the same scope later would be $2170. As I like and use the scope on another rifle I bought the package deal...just waiting for delivery.

Edit: Forgot bipod.
