Anyone buy one of mossbergs bolt action MVP rifles chambered in 223 yet, just read an article, they claim sub MOA accurcy with them, one they tested in in mossberg 2012 gun annual, was a laminated heavy fluted barrel version, these guns apparantly accept A-R style mags, has the "accu trigger setup similar to savage, im very interested in this gun, curious if any other cgn'rs share the same intrest in it, id like to hear some opinions

I was thinking that mvp would be a gd coyote rifle and target rifle, i do agree about the " tactical " lever gun,,lol, id rather hunt with a rock and a stick, it totally kills the nostalga of the lever gun, but there are some who find it cool and will own one, i will not disrespect or make fun of anyones decision to own one, id just hope theu have fun and that it shoots ok for them

Have seen many... In your experience which groups better?... The "night train" ... "4x4"... "Mvp" or that botched abortion of a lever gun?...

3 1500's. A 243, 30-06, and 7mm mag. My dad has a trio of them and they all shoot very well. As do the weatherby vanguards. I haven't personally seen any of the ones you listed.

I do agree after the trainwreck and that god awful lever gun it will take some time for guys to try this rifle. That gizzmo on the bolt that strips the round from the magazine concerns me, would like to examine one closely. Somebody buy one and send it to me and i`ll do an extensive range report.:D If i tell Sksavenger it`s a salvage in disguise, he`ll get one and i can try it out.

I don't think we'll be seeing them anytime soon.

I agree that Mossberg bolt guns were much better when....they werent' actually Mossberg bolt Guns:D...good ole Howas I believe. My buddy has a 1550 and messed up the trigger guard and never found a replacement part. I wondered if a Vanguard trigger guard bottom metal assy would fit ?

I have a 4X4 in 300 WM and I have no problems getting 1 MOA out of it, consistently. the only thing I regret is that I didn't wait a year to get the LBA trigger. Next up, a Rifle basix trigger.
