Mossberg makes good shotguns...don't really enjoy anything else by them. Thats my 2 cents tho...

Friend of mine bought one, had misfire issues, got a replacement, had more problems (I don't remember the details of the second issue, as I wasn't with him at the time). Finally got store credit on a Rem 700. Which hasn't fired on it's own, oddly enough. - dan

It shoots well plus the whole setup It is precision in under $1000 bracket (for the set up)

What kind of accuracy are we talking about?Five shots in 1/2" at 100 yards?Five shots in 3/8"?

I've also work at the gun counter and had to bring my savage in after 200 rounds. So maybe it means they are a piece of $hit too.

A good friend of mine had one. He brought it North to play around with this fall. He has taken a few animals with it. However, I have never seen a cheaper piece of junk in my whole life. Everything about it said cheap. The bolt was loose as a roll pin was falling out, stock was super flimsy and poorly fitted. Bipod was a joke. I won't even get into the glass. All in all a very poor package, spend the money and buy something better. IMHO does not even factor in with the word "precision".

Maybe look into the Howa rifles if you want a cheap little .308 bolt gun.

Rifle for $525 (US), package for $625. Seems like a good deal.
