If you look at the Brownells site it states "gun parts to Canada under $100.00 requires proper export requirements" ????? So please explain you procedure to order from them.
First off, if it's under $100 it's usaully, no questions asked. If the order is between $100 and $500 (as of a recent change) you need to fill out some paperwork that they will email you after you submit your order. It takes 5 min and you can scan it and email it back. Secondly, certain manufacturers products can not be shipped to Canada because that particular manufacturer may not have paid to get an export license. This only applies if the item is controlled by ITAR. In addition, certain parts require export permits automatically because of what they are (receivers, etc...). To make things more confusing, Shotgun parts are usually controlled by the US Commerce Dept not ITAR so there is usually less hassle to get them from Brownell's.
If you want to make an odrer for one of these parts or over $500 than you need to complete certain paperwork which you can find in the Brownell's Importing Tutorial here: http://www.canadiangunnutz.com/forum/showthread.php/430501-Brownells-Importing-Tutorial
