mossberg rifles

This is a question best posted in the hunting and sporting arms section. The mossberg rifles are a hit and miss. I work in a firearms shop and you don't see a whole heck of a lot of Mossbergs coming in (from mossberg) or out of the store. There are some that come back for repair/warranty claims. Try handling one and cycling the action. The overall feel in my opinion is Junk but some guys don't mind them. I wouldn't ever dare purchase one. Have a look at the savages, they'll be quite similar in price to the mossbergs and have a reputation for being good, out of the box, hunting rifles.
As Jeromeo said, this should be in the Hunting forum. That said. I agree with Jeromeo. Look at the Savage models and even the Stevens 200 in that calibre. Have heard lots of good comments on pricing and how well they shoot right out of the box.
I didn't mean to mock you, but there was one a few years back that blew up in somone's face. I still don't know how they weren't discontinued.
