Any rumors of Mossberg’s 14 inched 590 coming to Canada soon? I know its selling well in the States being NFA, but I’d sure like to get my hands on one!

This question should be forwarded to the official Mossberg importer and distributor.

Very curious about the answer !

.

I just spoke to their rep. Mossberg has submitted an application to export. If approved they will be shipping soon. Unfortunately approval on short barrelled shotguns is rather hap hazard so no real idea if/when things could happen.

There shouldn't be any approval... it's a 14" 500/590. All ready an frt maybe just a child entry

the raptor grip has been around for years. why the big deal?.

Its a big deal to the Americans as the factory Shockwave package is the only way they can get a shorter than 18" barrel without dealing with NFA issues.

For us it just means that it should be easier to get 14" barrels since they will be now be produced in numbers and shouldn't be subject to export restrictions.

It's a big deal for the Americans because they an buy this model without getting the extra tax stamp, they have to leave it as I'd though and can't put a regular butt stock on it.

It's even better for us in Canada because we can put a regular stock on it and it means that anyone looking for a 14" 590 would be able to buy one new. There were some 14" models available 2 years ago that came in but before that they were fetching a premium on the used market in Canada at around $1000.00..... I guess getting one brand new in the store for closer to $500 would be a big(good) deal if you are in the market for a short battled mossberg.

As far as the shockwave grip being available in Canada I don't think they are at this point in time, so this model would be a bonus if you were interested in that setup .

We have no shortage of 14" shotguns or even less. Why do you want the mossberg so bad? The grip u can just buy out if the us if you have to.

Pretty much all of what's currently available are Chinese and Turkish budget guns or else fairly expensive however.

You can buy an 18" mossberg and swap in the 14" kit pretty easily.

Done at the factory may be cooler, but this is already here in a parts kit and almost any Mossberg 88/500/590/590A1 shotgun + acquisition of the Shockwave Raptor Grip. Whether it's cheaper already done up, I don't know.

Ball park at $500 for the SG and $300 for the conversion means an $800 shotgun - versus hopefully $500 for the Shockwave and $150 for an SGA and sell the Raptor on the EE for $50. That difference will get you an ammo can of buckshot to play with.

The 14" mossbergs were going for like $1100+ . I understand if they were price point around $500 but it won't be here in canada.
