They are so cheap that i wonder if there is any quality. I have never used one. I own a silverhunter semi and had a remington 870 marine magnum. Was looking for one of those shot pistol grip ones for some fun factor lol.

Well i just bought the JIC mariner lol. How do these guns handle hot rounds. I dont reload but was thinking of seeing if i could find some brenoke slugs.

The PGO might bust your wrist, may upgrade to a full stock if you want to shoot buck and slugs accurately and comfortably.

Lee equipment is crap! Cheap aluminum frame junk. The only nice thing they have going is their primer pins are held in with a collet instead of being fixed.
Mossbergs were accepted into the US military....though they were a precision all steel variant of the 500. Low cost may also have been a factor.

Over 6000 rounds thru my 535ats no failures. Turkey loads buck slugs and shot of all sizes. My 400g (500) with pistol grips is a lot of fun and I shoot buck and slugs fronm it to. With proper technique its easy to shoot. The bluing on the barrels are cheap but the guns are well built and very reliable

Mossberg and 870 express and your avg. good shotgun.

They can have there issues, but for the most part there good to go.

I have two. An old 195KA bolt action and a new 500 pump. Thousands of rounds through the bolt and a couple hundred through the pump. Never an issue with either one. The 195KA is my favourite shotgun so far. Won't even consider an 870 unless it is old enough to be from when Remington was still producing good quality firearms.

Own a 500a and a 500 atp and a 870 wingmaster. Although they feel flimsier than my 870, have aluminium receivers rather than steel, and the inability to add mag extensions to them I really never have been let down by them, they shoot well and take a beating. They are just different.

I've stayed away from the express, and from what I've seen, I'd take a Mossberg over one of them if given the choice.

You can't go wrong, unless you leave the store with a 870!:stirthepot2:...LOL! My 500 is rock solid stump humper! Like Ike and Tina I beat it up and it performs!

Had a Mossberg 930 Field for about 3 or 4 years now, paid $425 for it. I use it for ducks, geese, trap and skeet. Probably fired 30 boxes through it. Runs flawlessly and points well for me. Have noted no quality control problems, nothing coming loose, nothing is rusting, etc. I'm very pleased with it, and wouldn't hesitate to buy another or recommend it to anyone.
