ANyone shoot this thing? Hell anyone even seen one in canada? And yes I saw 8 shot, but common sense is its blocked to 5 for canada so save your typing
 
a shotgun doesnt have to be blocked to 5, and only needs to be blocked to 3 if you are hunting.

the mossberg 930/935 has not exactly been receiving glowing reviews. a tactical shotgun should be 100% reliable: so that means either a reputable pump like the 870, or if you are going with a semi then something with unquestionable reliability like the benellis.

these days, it seems like mossberg will slap anything together to market to the tactical crowd - but something like this is not a good purchase IMHO.
 
I looked into getting one earlier in the year, from what i was told they cannot be bought here (this was from ellwood epps).

I'll state it again, according to the latest firearms reference table put out by the RCMP (Version 4) the 930 SPX SEMI AUTO with 7 shot magazine is listed as NON-RESTRICTED. Ref # 128208-1.

Please, before you accuse me of not knowing the difference between a pump and a semi check for yourself first. The ref# is for a Mossberg SPX semi auto with 7 shot mag. The ref# for the 5 shot semi is 128208-2. Both are listed as gas operated semi autos with 470mm barrels.

I believe you are thinking about the Mossberg 500 SPX which is a pump action. I can find no evidence of a 930 SPX pump action.
 
Hmm. But having 7 rounds in the semi is a no-no.
The shotgun itself it non - restricted, the quantity of ammunition allowed in it is controlled.

The Tavor is non - restricted..... but put a 30 round mag in it and see what your local RCMP say about it :)



note: Not that anyone has a 30 round mag. because that is illegal. I was just using that as an example.

I suggest you call the RCMP and point out their mistake. In the meantime I will go by the RCMP's database.
 
I'll state it again. The shotgun is capable of holding 7 rounds.
You are not allowed to have 7 rounds in a semi.

I suggest you call the RCMP and clarify your misunderstanding.

Go hunting with 7 rounds in your shotgun. Tell the MNR officer to call the RCMP.
 
The magazine must not contain more than 5 rounds.

Just because the FRT refers to the "8 SHOT model" as non-restricted, doesn't mean its saying you can legally have 8 shots.
