And my ammo order arrived today also. The next range trip should be good. Tons of ammo and the mags to put it in.
 
Well only had time to rip off 75rds on the back 40...

Had 1 jam in the first mag and one in the second 3rd was perfect.

I'll use up the box and see if it improves. Not bad if u ask me though.
 
The original 25rnd mags looked like a 10rnd mag sticking out the top of a AR mag. From your pics i don't see that look anymore on the new version, Or is it hidden by packaging?
 
no they are the same, the skinny part is behind the insert.

sask, no i dont think that is possible. it looks like the plinkster mag with a different piece on the bottom.
 
Thanks for the pics and info guys. I didn't even know there was a cabelas in canada yet. Just ordered 2 mags from them. On backorder but hope to get them sooner than later. cheers.
 
Yeah the loader works better than I had expected that's for sure. By the way with regards to mine jamming I took it apart and wow was it grity and filthy. I suspect that was the issue for sure!
 
I took mine apart after about 750 rounds or so and couldn't believe how dirty it was. Didn't malfunction on me though.
 
Mine was coated in the bright yellow oil from the factory lol. A little drop here and little drop there and you can feel the difference. Simple action these mossbergs are, can't wait to unload it again!
 
first thing i did was take it all the way apart, except for the trigger assembly, it was dirt -tay for sure. Really good cleaning and some quality lube and mine has never jammed. But still only 400 rounds on her though. for less than 300 i am very happy with it.
 
get 2, more fun, buddy loads you shoot, switch! ####ing surprised by the accuracy of this gun, hitting pop cans 1 for 2 shots at about 40 yards, plastic sights only :)

with a bipod though, im a shaky guy
 
I had mine out again today. I only fired off roughly 250rds or so....

I had 1 jam with the 25rd mag loaded with the winchester 555rd hollow points.

and I had a couple jams with the 25rd mag loaded with federal 525rd hollow points.

The factory mags had NO issues. So basically if u ask me.. the 25rd mags are similar to the bc mags for a 10/22. I have about the same issues.

Overall am I happy?? Hell ya!
 
Anyone looking to purchase some of these magazines i just saw them for sale on the actual Mossberg site. Still on backorder from cabelas. Mossberg also has a 702 plinkster 25rd similar mag but has a bit higher casing. Not sure if it is for the tac 22. Can't see it fitting in anything else from mossberg from the design. Might solve the woble fit issue.
