I am looking to ge a moss. 500 and would like the basic 500 black stock with 3 barrels ,I mostly have seen the 2 barrel combos that do not include the rifled barrel around 24 inches. The best prices have been Cabelas as far as I can find, but again only the 2 barrel combo.Any of you shotty guys know other places to look.I have checked out most places on this site and have come up with nothing.
Cheers Bob

Al Flaherty in Toronto has the 3 Barrel set for 486 bucks I believe....check out their website...I may have read it wrong but its the Camo model....great deal! Im thinking of getting one as well.

I think they only offer the 3 barrel in Camo. I have it and love it, if you plan on hunting with it, the camo may be a good thing. People usually use camo guns for Waterfowl and Turkey hunting.
There is the Remington 870 Express in a 3 barrel with black synthetic stocks. But I have heard they are rust buckets (no finish on the metal and they rust quickly, sometimes by the end of a hunt). The 870 Express is not like the 870 wingmaster, but the 870 does have a better feel than the Mossberg.

I could not be happier with my 500, it is a great gun and they back the 10 warranty better than could be imagined. I broke my Turkey barrel fiber optic sight the last day of my hunt this year. I called them up, gave my serial number and it is in the mail as we speak.

I was looking between the mossy 535 anf the rem 870, I went with the 870 3 barrel combo for $530.
2 of my friends have the 535 and they have both told me it drops rounds wjen you try to chamber it occasionally. So if you think you have another round, you hear click and no boom look by your feet.

Yes I have heard that about the 535 , a design flaw I believe. I think that is why they are cheaper than the 500. I have heard nothing bad about the 500 . Of couse , eveyone will have their favorites ,due to fit and experiences, but for the price..$460.. With camo and 3 barrels. Can't go wrong.;0)

Usually the falling out of the next round in the mag tube is due to the mag tube becoming loose. Make sure it's screwed in tight and loc-tited (blue)

Add me to that list, it's annoying and repetitive. My brother's 500 does not have this issue.

I'll try that.
