can someone take a tape and tell me how many inches you get from the bolt face to the mag cap on a 18.5" 590a1 , i,m guessing about 14" or so???

I don't have the 18.5" version, but if it helps my 20" gun measures 19 7/8" from the forward edge of the ejection port (with the barrel removed there is about a half inch of play in the bolt) to the forward edge of the front barrel ring where the magazine cap makes contact to it. The threaded portion of the mag tube is 5/8" long.

I did a quick measurement on my 18.5" 590A1 this morning and it is roughly 14-3/8" from the bolt face (action closed) to the mag cap. Just to be clear, that measurement was to the back of the mag cap, not the tip. If you need, I can get a more accurate measurement, but that one will be within 1/8" either way.

What do you have in mind?
