I got this Mossy on a whim, in a trade last week and cannot understand why I did it:HR:.

I liked it in the pictures but man, it feels slow to point, unlike my Maverick 88 Security. I hope that muzzle brake works.

The ATI stock has a high cheek weld so the front bead is useless. Probably need to mount a red dot scope for any accuracy with slugs.

Been thinking about making bricks that fit on the end of Mossberg 500's, I hadn't planned on it but they seem to sell well ;)

The only thing that would make it more useless is if you put a magpul afg on the rail under that "loudener".
Seriously though, you should be able to take that damn thing off.

The rail under the front thing is so you can attach an anvil or large rock to add extra weight and make it even less enjoyable to shoot.

The Muzzle Brake is made of aluminum so not really heavy but it is stuck out in front so the weight has a lot of leverage. The gun feels longer than it is.

Perhaps shorten the MB a couple of inches and remove the rail under it, would help the balance a bit?

Maybe if I put on a red dot scope the balance would improve a little? Not much I guess.

Although the MB makes the bead higher, the ATI stock has an even higher cheek weld. Either that or my cheek bone is too low:D

How about this forearm pistol grip to improve operator ergonomics and leverage to counter the MB's weight?

you need to go get your money/item back! The ATI stock apparently went to market before R&D, mossberg put the bead too damn low to begin with and ATI just slapped together a tacticool product that makes the shotgun useless without raised irons or optics. Either that or you can aim for the feet to hit em in the face....
